Andreu Jansà, Elisava Library

Andreu Jansà is the head of the Elisava Library and curator of the Enric Bricall Special Collection. He trained as a designer at the Escola Massana and as a librarian at the University of Barcelona.

The Library is one of the main support services for teaching and research, as well as for the training of professionals through postgraduate courses. It is open to the entire Elisava community and to specialists in the sector.

The Enric Bricall Reserve Fund is a collection that brings together outstanding examples of editorial design from the end of the 19th century to the present day. It is the basis for the Bookworm sessions, the aim of which is to make this material known as a source of inspiration and knowledge.

The books and magazines that make up this collection are documented in the main accounts of the history of graphic design. In the Bookworm sessions, it is exciting to hold in our hands publications that we have only seen in images, in history books or on the internet. The book has a resounding material presence that is only apparent when we meet it in person.”
